Execute Loading The Truck

Execute Loading The Truck

This is where we shine. You’ll appreciate the care, efficiency, and hustle that our movers exhibit throughout your move. Typically one of the three movers is focused on loading the truck itself, while the other 2 movers are focused on bringing belongings from the house to the truck. This accomplishes the following:

  • Our movers load the truck in a manner that makes the best use of space, which will both prevent damage and reduce the possibility of a second trip
  • A mover in the truck adds a level of security to prevent theft

Second Walk Through

Second Walk Through

Once we’ve emptied the apartment of all belongings that will be moved, our crew will perform another walk through with you to determine:

  • All of your possessions to be moved are accounted for

  • If we’re ready to travel to your destination location

  • Begin the process of protecting floors
  • Unload your belongings per placement direction
  • Reassemble any furniture necessary
  • Remove any shrinkwrap or move materials used during the move

Final Walk Through And Completion

Final Walk Through And Completion

Once we’ve finished unloading the truck, we perform one final walk through to make sure:

  • Items are placed in rooms and spots per your wishes
  • We’ve cleaned up any packing materials used during the move
  • We’ve reassembled anything taken apart during the process
  • If we’ve used any elevator equipment, that it’s clean and ready for next use
  • You’re happy with the finished product

After completing the final walk through, our crew leader will stop the clock, provide you the details of total hours worked and the final bill for the services completed. You pay and we all get to relax, knowing that the heavy lifting is done!

If you really want to relax, you can book one of our packing/unpacking service crews and rest while we take care of everything.

Popular Questions Answered

What items will movers not transport?

Movers typically cannot transport hazardous, living, or perishable items. These include:

  • Flammable liquids and aerosols (gasoline, paint, solvents, spray cans)

  • Firearms and ammunition

  • Batteries and electronics

  • Toxic chemicals and cleaning agents

  • Live plants (especially during interstate moves)

  • Animals

  • Perishable food items (milk, meat, frozen foods)

  • Valuable and personal items (money, documents, jewelry, photographs)

These restrictions are due to safety regulations and legal requirements.

What items are not worth moving?

Some items are not worth moving for various reasons:

  • Perishable food: Can spoil and attract pests.

  • Live plants: May be restricted in interstate moves due to pest control laws.

  • Animals: Should not be transported in moving trucks for their safety.

  • Valuable and personal items: There’s a higher risk of loss or damage, and moving companies typically don’t cover them under insurance.

It’s best to transport these items separately or leave them behind.

Will movers move dressers with clothes inside?

While movers often prefer that dressers are emptied to make them easier to handle and reduce the risk of damage, they may agree to move dressers with light items like clothes inside. However, it’s always best to check with the moving company in advance about their policy on this.

Do movers do everything for you?

Movers typically handle the following tasks:

  • Loading and unloading furniture and boxes

  • Transporting items between locations

  • Packing and disassembling furniture (if included in the service)

  • Providing packing materials (if requested)

However, some services, such as cleaning, connecting appliances, or assembling/disassembling furniture, may not be included in the standard package and could incur additional charges. Be sure to discuss the details with the moving company beforehand.

Why Hire Professional Apartment Movers?

Moving into a new apartment brings both excitement and stress. Narrow hallways, staircases, and limited elevator access make apartment moves more complex than typical house relocations. That’s why hiring a professional moving company experienced in apartment moves can save you time, energy, and prevent costly mistakes.

With expert movers by your side, you can focus on settling in while professionals handle the logistics. They understand the unique layout and challenges of apartment buildings, allowing them to efficiently navigate obstacles and ensure your belongings arrive safely and on schedule.

Smart Pre-Move Planning

Effective planning is crucial for a smooth apartment move. Start by assessing logistics like stair access, elevator availability, and truck parking space. Sharing these details with your moving company helps them plan the most efficient route and ensures there are no surprises on moving day.

Scheduling services early is equally important. Some movers offer full-service options including packing and unpacking. Having packing materials—like boxes, bubble wrap, and tape—on hand helps protect your belongings. If you want to avoid the hassle, companies like "3 Men Movers" also offer professional packing services.

Essential Moving Services

Top apartment movers provide a wide range of services to simplify your move. These often include packing supplies, professional packing, careful loading and unloading, furniture disassembly and reassembly, and even truck rental for those who prefer to handle the move themselves.

Short-term storage is another helpful option, especially if your new apartment isn’t move-in ready. With secure facilities and flexible rental periods, companies like "3 Men Movers" can store your belongings and deliver them when you’re ready, ensuring a seamless transition into your new space.

Final Walk-Through & Peace of Mind

Once the move is complete, a final walk-through ensures that all items are delivered and set up as requested. It also gives you a chance to inspect for any damage or missing items and report them immediately. Reputable movers typically offer satisfaction guarantees to address any concerns.

Professional movers strive to avoid damage to walls, floors, or furniture, but it’s still wise to check everything before signing off. With the help of a trusted moving team, your apartment move becomes far less stressful, giving you more time to enjoy your new home.
