Execute Loading The Truck

Execute Loading The Truck

This is where we shine. You’ll appreciate the care, efficiency, and hustle that our movers exhibit throughout your move. Typically one of the three movers is focused on loading the truck itself, while the other 2 movers are focused on bringing belongings from the house to the truck. This accomplishes the following:

  • Our movers load the truck in a manner that makes the best use of space, which will both prevent damage and reduce the possibility of a second trip
  • A mover in the truck adds a level of security to prevent theft

Moving apartments can be expensive, but it really depends on a few key factors. In general, apartment moves tend to cost less than house moves simply because apartments are usually smaller. However, that's not always the case—larger units, like 3- or 4-bedroom apartments, can be just as complex and costly to move as a house.

In Texas, the typical cost to move an apartment ranges from $500 to $2,000. The final price depends on several things:

  • Size of the apartment – More rooms and furniture mean more time and labor.

  • Floor level – Moving from or to a higher floor usually costs more, especially if there’s no elevator.

  • Elevator access – Having a working elevator can lower the cost and make the move quicker.

  • Parking availability – If movers can’t park close to the building, it may take longer and cost more.

  • Distance to the new place – Local moves cost less, while moving across cities or counties will increase the total.

On average, moving a 3-bedroom apartment can take 5 to 8 hours, but this can vary based on several factors:

  • Amount of furniture and belongings – If you have a lot of stuff or bulky items, the move will take longer.

  • Floor level and elevator access – Moving from a 3rd-floor unit with no elevator will slow things down compared to a ground-floor or elevator-equipped building.

  • Packing status – If everything is already packed and ready to go, movers can work much faster. If packing is happening on the same day, expect delays.

  • Distance to the new location – A local move within the same city (like within Dallas or Houston) is quicker than a longer-distance move.

  • Access and parking – If movers have to carry items a long way from the apartment to the truck, it’ll add time.

3 Men Movers will not transport the following items for safety, liability, or equipment reasons:

  • Flammable liquids and chemicals – These are hazardous and not allowed on the truck.

  • Items over 600 lbs – This includes oversized safes, certain gym equipment, and large pianos.

  • Guns and ammunition – Firearms and ammo are not allowed on the truck.

  • Prescriptions, jewelry, cash, and important documents – These should stay with you to avoid loss or damage.

  • Trash bags – Movers will not load items packed in trash bags onto the moving truck, though they can help load them into your personal vehicle.

  • Live animals or fish – Aquariums must be empty; no live critters can be moved.

  • Food in refrigerators or freezers – These appliances must be emptied before the move.

Why Hire Professional Apartment Movers?

Why Hire Professional Apartment Movers?

Moving into a new apartment is an exciting step—but it often comes with its own set of challenges. Tight hallways, small stairwells, and limited elevator access can turn even a simple move into a complicated one. From figuring out how to fit bulky furniture through narrow spaces to making sure everything arrives safely, it can quickly become stressful. That’s where a professional moving company with apartment experience comes in. With the right team on your side, you’ll save time, avoid damage, and eliminate the headache of doing it all on your own.

With a skilled team of movers by your side, you can focus on getting comfortable in your new space while the pros take care of the heavy lifting and logistics. Experienced apartment movers know how to handle the tight corners, stairs, and elevator restrictions that come with multi-unit buildings. They work efficiently to overcome these obstacles and make sure your belongings arrive safely and on time. Here’s why choosing professional apartment movers is a smart move for anyone planning a relocation.

Smart Pre-Move Planning

Smart planning is the key to a smooth, hassle-free apartment move. Before moving day, it’s important to consider a few essential logistics—like stair access, elevator availability, and where the moving truck can park. These may seem like small details, but they can have a big impact on how smoothly everything goes. If your building has tight staircases or no elevator, the move will naturally take more time and effort. Some apartments also have restrictions on moving hours or require permits for large trucks, so knowing this in advance helps avoid last-minute surprises.

Communicating these details to your moving company ahead of time is essential. A professional team will use this information to plan accordingly—choosing the best approach, preparing the right equipment, and anticipating any potential challenges. This kind of upfront planning helps prevent delays and keeps things running smoothly on moving day. When your movers are fully informed, you can relax knowing that every detail has been considered and nothing is left to chance.

It’s also a smart move to schedule your moving services well in advance. Companies like 3 Men Movers offer full-service options that can take a huge load off your plate—literally. From packing and unpacking to furniture assembly, these services are a lifesaver when you're short on time or simply don’t want to deal with the hassle. If your schedule is packed or you're juggling a lot, letting the pros handle the details can make your move a whole lot smoother. Additionally, having the proper packing materials—such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape—on hand is essential for protecting your belongings during the move. Some moving companies even offer professional packing services, so you don’t have to worry about gathering and packing everything on your own.

Essential Moving Services

Professional apartment movers provide a variety of services to make your move easier and more efficient. From quality packing supplies to careful loading, unloading, and even furniture disassembly and reassembly, they handle the heavy lifting—literally and logistically. If you’d rather manage part of the move yourself, many companies, including 3 Men Movers, also offer truck rental options. It’s a flexible, budget-friendly solution that still gives you access to expert support when you need it.

Short-term storage is another valuable service offered by many apartment moving companies—and it can be a real game-changer when timing doesn’t line up perfectly. Maybe your new apartment isn’t ready yet, needs cleaning, or is still undergoing repairs. Or perhaps there’s a gap between your move-out and move-in dates. In any of these situations, having a secure place to store your belongings can take a huge weight off your shoulders. Companies like 3 Men Movers offer safe, climate-controlled storage with flexible rental periods, so your items are protected until you're ready. Once your new home is ready, they’ll deliver everything right to your door—making the entire process smooth and stress-free.

Final Walk-Through & Peace of Mind

Once the move is complete, a final walk-through is the best way to ensure that all items have been delivered and set up as requested. This process allows you to inspect your new apartment and check that everything has been unpacked and placed according to your instructions. It also provides an opportunity to check for any damage or missing items so you can report them immediately. Reputable moving companies typically offer satisfaction guarantees, ensuring they address any concerns you may have regarding missing or damaged items.

While professional movers take every precaution to protect your home and belongings, the occasional bump or scuff can happen. That’s why the final walk-through matters. It’s your chance to make sure everything looks right and nothing’s been overlooked. If something is missing or damaged, you can address it on the spot with the moving team—no stress, no surprises. Reputable companies are usually quick to make things right, so you can wrap up your move feeling confident and taken care of.

Moving with Less Stress

Moving is rarely simple—and apartment relocations often come with extra hurdles. Tight hallways, elevator restrictions, and tricky building layouts can make things complicated fast. That’s why having a team of experienced apartment movers on your side can make all the difference. With professionals handling the heavy lifting and fine details, your move becomes more organized, less stressful, and far more efficient.

Seasoned apartment movers know how to plan smart, pack carefully, and treat your belongings with the respect they deserve. They’ve dealt with tight staircases, narrow doorways, and all the usual apartment obstacles—and they come prepared with the tools and techniques to get the job done right. When you work with movers who value precision and service, you’re not just hiring extra hands—you’re partnering with pros who prioritize your peace of mind. They’re committed to getting everything where it needs to go—on time, in one piece, and without the usual moving-day stress.
