Weight Limits

At 3 Men Movers, we do not charge extra for overweight and specialty items like safes that are 300lbs or less. The safe is simply treated as a furniture item.

3 Men Movers are experienced, safe movers. Things to keep in mind when moving a safe with 3 Men Movers:

  • Safes under 300lbs have no additional charges.
  • For a safe between 300-600 lbs, we will charge $100 per flight of stairs that you
request us to move it up or down.
  • We are only equipped to move safes that weigh up to 600 lbs.

Please note that it is the mover’s discretion to make a professional analysis of your move. When our movers arrive at your location, the team of movers will make a professional judgment on whether or not they are equipped to move the safe. Moving heavy items require specialized equipment, extra labor, and there are liability charges. With 3 Men Movers, the only surprise you will experience is how easy we make your move.

Execute Loading The Truck

Execute Loading The Truck

This is where we shine. You’ll appreciate the care, efficiency, and hustle that our movers exhibit throughout your move. Typically one of the three movers is focused on loading the truck itself, while the other 2 movers are focused on bringing belongings from the house to the truck. This accomplishes the following:

  • Our movers load the truck in a manner that makes the best use of space, which will both prevent damage and reduce the possibility of a second trip
  • A mover in the truck adds a level of security to prevent theft

  • Begin the process of protecting floors
  • Unload your belongings per placement direction
  • Reassemble any furniture necessary
  • Remove any shrinkwrap or move materials used during the move

Final Walk Through And Completion

Final Walk Through And Completion

Once we’ve finished unloading the truck, we perform one final walk through to make sure:

  • Items are placed in rooms and spots per your wishes
  • We’ve cleaned up any packing materials used during the move
  • We’ve reassembled anything taken apart during the process
  • If we’ve used any elevator equipment, that it’s clean and ready for next use
  • You’re happy with the finished product

After completing the final walk through, our crew leader will stop the clock, provide you the details of total hours worked and the final bill for the services completed. You pay and we all get to relax, knowing that the heavy lifting is done!

Introduction to Safe Relocation

Moving a heavy safe requires more than just muscle—it demands experience, planning, and the right tools. Safes are not only bulky and heavy but often delicate, making DIY moves risky. That’s why hiring professionals is the smartest approach.

Professional safe movers understand the complexities of transporting these large units. Whether installing a new safe or relocating an old one, they ensure a smooth, secure process from start to finish.

Why Hire Professional Safe Movers

Professionals are trained to handle heavy items like safes with care and precision. Their experience allows them to navigate tight spaces, stairs, and tricky layouts while minimizing the risk of damage.

With expert movers, you also avoid the physical strain and potential injuries that can come from moving such large items. Their goal is safety, both for your property and everyone involved.

Equipment and Tools for a Safe Move

Reliable movers come equipped with tools like heavy-duty dollies, lifting straps, and ramps. These make it easier to move a safe safely and efficiently, especially through challenging areas.

They also use padding and protective materials to prevent damage during transit. With the right gear in place, even multi-floor moves can be handled without issue.

Planning and Preparation Steps

Before the move, it’s essential to assess both the current and final locations. Professionals need to know about stairs, narrow hallways, or other obstacles to plan the best route.

Clear the path and remove any valuable contents from the safe. Communicate special instructions or services—like white glove or curbside delivery—so the movers can fully prepare.

Secure, Stress-Free Relocation

By confirming all details ahead of time—such as the move date, equipment needed, and services requested—you reduce the chances of delays or complications. The right team ensures everything runs smoothly.

Professional movers offer peace of mind. From pickup to final placement, they handle every aspect of the move, ensuring your safe is relocated securely and efficiently.
