I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this moving company was extremely disappointing.The day before our move, the crew leader, Jose, texted me to ask whether we still wanted to proceed despite the forecasted rain. I replied that I was comfortable moving forward if they were. At no point was I informed that rain could result in significant storage fees, delays, or other major additional charges.The next day, Jose and his crew spent hours loading all of my family?s belongings into their truck while it was actively raining. Only after everything had been loaded did he inform me that the weather conditions were supposedly too hazardous to unload at our new home.At that point, I was presented with two options: remain ?on the clock? at approximately $200 per hour while waiting to see if conditions improved enough to unload, or stop the move and pay a $75 storage fee. I was further told that if the weather remained unfavorable and my belongings required additional overnight storage, the costs could escalate dramatically?potentially reaching over $1,000 if additional days of storage became necessary. Jose also stated that this had happened to previous customers and that some had ended up paying ?a couple thousand dollars.?To make matters worse, I was given only about 30 minutes to make this decision while the crew went to lunch.As a parent of two young children, this wasn?t simply a financial decision. Virtually everything our family relied on had already been packed and loaded into the truck?including clothing, children?s belongings, household essentials, and items needed for daily life. I was suddenly being asked to decide whether to risk potentially thousands of dollars in additional charges or face the uncertainty of being separated from our belongings for an unknown period of time. It felt like an impossible position to put a family in, especially when none of these potential consequences had been clearly communicated before the move began.I do want to recognize that customer service was extremely helpful throughout this situation. After I called and explained what was happening, the representative told me that the scenario being presented was not actually company policy and that weather-related storage decisions are handled on a case-by-case basis with management involvement. They listened to my concerns, contacted Jose directly, and then called me back to let me know the crew would proceed with unloading. I greatly appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism during a very stressful situation.However, the information I received from customer service directly contradicted the certainty with which the additional fees and storage requirements had been presented to me by the crew leader. As a customer, I was left wondering whether these costs were truly unavoidable or whether I was being pressured into accepting charges that may not have been required.I also struggled to understand the logic. If conditions were safe enough to spend hours loading the truck in the rain, why were they suddenly too hazardous to unload? If weather was a foreseeable concern, those risks and potential costs should have been clearly communicated before my family?s belongings were loaded.Moving is stressful enough without being presented with potentially significant additional charges after all of your possessions are already in someone else?s truck. While I sincerely appreciate the excellent assistance I received from customer service, the lack of transparency, conflicting information, and pressure surrounding this situation made for a very disappointing experience.
