3 Men Movers Reaches the Highest Safety Scores in Company History

Top 10% of similar-sized fleets in the Samsara network. A 21% safety score improvement over three years. Over 2 million miles driven across four Texas markets.

Published June 2026  |  3 Men Movers Safety & Operations Team

Most moving companies do not publish their safety data. We do.

This report covers three years of fleet performance across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, pulled directly from Samsara, the fleet telematics and AI dash camera platform our operations team uses to monitor every mile our trucks are on the road.

The story the data tells: we drove more miles, completed more trips, and became significantly safer doing it. That does not happen on its own. It is the result of a program our Director of Customer Service and Operations, Cassie Downing, rebuilt from the ground up over the past two years.

Safety Score Improvement Year Over Year

Our Samsara safety score measures driver behavior across speeding, braking, turning, and compliance events. The industry benchmark for fleets our size sits around 75 to 80. We started above that in 2023 and have improved every single year since.

Safety score improved 21% from 81 in 2023 to 98 YTD in 2026.

The score is not a vanity number. It is a live reflection of how every driver is performing on every trip, updated continuously through Samsara telematics. When the score goes up, it means fewer harsh events per mile, better braking, and safer driving behavior across the entire fleet.

"We don't think a moving company gets to ignore that responsibility. Our trucks are on the same roads as your family, your kids, your community."
Jacky Fischer — CEO, 3 Men Movers

Driving More. Driving Safer.

Between 2023 and 2025, our fleet drove 42% more miles and completed 35% more trips. Every key safety metric improved over the same period. Getting safer while scaling is not an accident. It is what a real program produces.

Our Safety Management Approach

The numbers above come from a five-step system our operations team runs continuously. This is not periodic. It is not a quarterly check-in. It runs every day across all four markets.

1
Monitor
Real-time visibility with Samsara AI dash cameras and telematics on every truck.
2
Alert
Severe speeding alerts reach safety leaders within 1 minute of the event.
3
Review
Events reviewed same day. Monthly meetings cover individual driver footage.
4
Coach
Drivers receive targeted, event-based feedback with clear performance expectations.
5
Improve
Results tracked, programs refined, and performance continues to rise.

Drivers who cannot meet our standards after targeted coaching do not remain on the team. One of our guiding principles is that we do not keep drivers you would not want showing up at your door. The safety scores are proof that standard is enforced, not aspirational.

Every Truck Has to Pass Before It Works

Monthly mandatory inspections at every safety meeting across all four markets

Mechanical

Functioning brakes, lights, and horns confirmed on every truck before it returns to service.

Safety Equipment

Traffic cones and all required driver safety gear verified on board and accounted for.

Customer Protection

Furniture blankets, floor runners, and wrapping supplies fully stocked for every job.

A truck that fails inspection is removed from service until the issue is resolved. The driver does not work until it is. There are no workarounds. This protects the drivers and the community.

2025 Program Enhancements

The improvements in our 2025 numbers reflect specific investments we made in the program throughout the year.

What We Added in 2025

Implemented real-time severe speeding alerts within 1 minute for immediate intervention

Expanded dual-facing AI dash cameras in vehicles where data identified the highest opportunity

Strengthened driver coaching with event-based feedback and direct follow-up accountability

Increased focus on HOS compliance and safe driving behaviors across all markets

Ongoing safety meetings, truck inspections, and accountability standards extended to our contractor network

Why It Matters

Fewer risky behaviors reduce the likelihood of accidents and claims before they happen.

Proactive coaching and accountability create safer, more professional drivers every day.

A safer fleet protects our customers, our team, and the communities we drive through every day.

Data-driven decisions drive continuous improvement and sustainable results across all four markets.

"This didn't happen because we put up a poster about safety. It happened because we built a system where every driver, every truck, and every shift is held to a standard, and that standard is enforced."
Cassie Downing — Director of Customer Service and Operations, 3 Men Movers
Our Standard
"A safer fleet protects our customers, our team, and the communities we serve. That is not a marketing line. It is the reason we do this work every single day."
Cassie Downing, Director of Customer Service and Operations

What This Means When You Book a Move

The scores and metrics above are fleet-level numbers. Here is what they mean on moving day.

The crew that shows up at your door has been coached on their individual driving record, has passed a monthly truck inspection, and operates under a system where any severe event on the road is reviewed within 24 hours. If a driver cannot consistently meet our standards, they do not keep working here.

You also have full visibility before anyone arrives. When you book with 3 Men Movers, you can review crew profiles, ratings, and move counts before selecting your team. You know who is coming. You know their record.

That is the same commitment that produced a safety score of 98 and placed 3 Men Movers in the top 10% of similar-sized fleets in the Samsara network. The crash data is a byproduct of the standard, not the goal. The goal is a safer company operating in your community, every day.
