The cost of an apartment move depends on the day, how long the move takes, and how much you’re moving. Our standard crew has three movers, with hourly rates of $199 Tuesday through Wednesday, $209 Monday and Thursday, and $229 Friday through Sunday. There’s a two-hour minimum, and billing is based on the actual time worked.

Need help with packing? It’s billed at the same hourly rate as the move. A one-time trip fee starts at $99 and is based on the actual miles driven by the crew. Online bookings require a $25 deposit, which goes toward the final bill. Long-distance moves may require a larger deposit.

Our rates aren’t negotiable, but seniors, active-duty military members, and veterans may qualify for a discount. If we quote a rate by mistake, 3 Men Movers honors the quoted rate. And if the crew arrives late, the move is discounted.

No, we don't charge separate fees for stairs, elevators, or long carries from the truck to your apartment. If you live on the third floor or your building has limited parking, you won't pay an additional fee specifically for those access conditions.

Yes. We're the only mover in Texas that sends a COI automatically, generated for your address, without you having to ask. A COI is proof of insurance that a property may ask for before allowing a move, and some buildings require one before approving your move-in or move-out date. Send us your move date and apartment complex name early so we can get the COI to the leasing office on time, and we'll edit it if the property needs specific wording.

A 3-bedroom apartment move usually takes 5–8 hours, and smaller apartments usually take less time. The actual time can vary based on how much you're moving, how much needs to be packed, your floor level, elevator access, and the distance between the truck and your unit. Buildings with a booked elevator window can also shape the day. Before loading begins, we walk through the apartment with you to check the building access and identify any furniture that needs to be disassembled.

Yes, we handle student apartment moves near TCU. TCU's early-August move-in period can bring a large number of students moving into the same few weeks, while apartment leases around campus may also end around the same time. That can make August a busy period around campus, so book as early as you can if you're moving then. 

Before moving day, there are a few building details to sort out. Your apartment may have rules for the elevator, loading area, move-in hours, parking, or gate access. You'll still need to arrange the elevator reservation, move-in hours and gate access with the property. Send us those details once you have them, and we'll plan the crew and the truck around them.

We don't move flammable liquids or chemicals, items over 600 pounds, guns or ammunition, cash, jewelry, prescriptions, important documents, live animals, or food left in a refrigerator or freezer. We also don't load items packed in trash bags onto our moving trucks because the bags can tear, and their contents aren't covered for insurance. These items can create safety, liability, or handling problems during a move. If you're unsure about something, ask us when you book. It's easier to plan around an item than to find out on move day that it can't go on the truck.
