Portable storage pricing consists of three straightforward line items. Delivery and loading runs $599 within the standard service area. Monthly storage is $299 per month. Redelivery and unloading is an additional $599 when you are ready to move back in. For buildings five floors or higher, bundle pricing does not apply and the service is billed at an hourly rate. If your location falls outside the standard service area, a Travel Fee is added to the base price. Your Move Expert will confirm the exact total for your address when you book.
Two differences worth knowing before you book. First, size: our portable storage units measure 20 x 8 x 8 feet - 25% larger than the biggest unit PODS offers, meaning fewer trips and more flexibility for larger households. Second, storage conditions: our units are stored in a climate-controlled facility, not left outside in Texas heat and humidity. For wood furniture, electronics, and anything sensitive to temperature or moisture, indoor climate-controlled storage is meaningfully better than an exposed container sitting on a lot.
This is a full-service model, not a drop-and-leave operation. The crew delivers the unit, loads your belongings with professional care, transports everything to the storage facility, and returns to redeliver and unload when you are ready. You are not renting a container and handling the logistics yourself - the same professional crew that handles moves manages the entire process from start to finish.
Yes, access to your stored unit is available during business hours with a minimum 24-hour advance notice - walk-ins are not accepted. There is a $29 access fee per container. To schedule access, contact the Storage team directly. If frequent access to your items is a priority, factor that into your planning when booking.
Standard exclusions apply: no flammable liquids, hazardous chemicals, firearms, ammunition, or live animals. No single item over 300 lbs can be placed in a container, and Grand Pianos and Baby Grand Pianos are not eligible for portable storage under any circumstances. For Tempur-Pedic, adjustable, or Sleep Number mattresses: these cannot be stacked or stored upright, so they require a dedicated container or a signed liability waiver. If you have questions about a specific item, confirm at booking rather than on delivery day.
Earlier is always better, particularly for moves at the end or beginning of the month when demand peaks. All bookings require a $25 deposit upfront, and the lease paperwork must be completed at least 72 hours before your service date - the crew will not be dispatched until it is finished. Your Move Expert will send you the paperwork package and walk you through what needs to be signed when you book.
