Who Lifts Your Safe: Choose a Crew You Can Trust
As Fort Worth safe movers, we move your safe, and you choose the crew that lifts it. No other Texas local mover lets you fully book online with a specific crew chosen by their own data. On our website, you can go through the crew listings of our Fort Worth movers, see each one’s leader with their name and photo, their review rating (what real customers on Google said about that crew), on-time percentage measured by GPS on the truck, moves, and years of experience. Crews with strong on-time scores get booked more, so they have a reason to arrive on time. These leaders are background-checked and Perfect Move Certified, our training program: they pass written exams, practice hands-on with real furniture and specialty equipment, such as a piano and a fridge, and train in customer service, like making you comfortable with new people in your home and handling difficult moves with care.

You’ll find all of these numbers on the crew cards further down this page. After you make a pick, you can book online or by phone. For a heavy item like a safe, that means you know who is lifting it, how many moves they have done and how often they arrive on time, before you book.
Our Fort Worth safe movers move your safes that are under 600 lbs if they are completely empty, with no firearms or ammunition inside. An empty safe is lighter and safer to move, firearms and ammunition can’t ride on the truck, and jewelry, cash, documents and prescriptions travel with you. We move each item only if it is under 600 lbs, and that includes tall safes. You’ll find the weight on the manufacturer’s label or spec sheet; tell us the empty weight. Most waist-high safes are fine with us, but for a taller gun safe, call us at (817) 618-3095, and we’ll go over the weight, height, floor and route with you.
We have been a Texas family company since 1985, with the same name and the same family, and are still woman-owned and have over 10,000 reviews across Texas, from one company with the same standards in every market. With 40+ years of experience, we are TxDMV licensed (the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles licenses movers), with a BBB A+ rating since 1997. Fewer than 2 in 100 of our moves result in a claim, a request for repair or payment after damage (the industry standard is 15 to 20 in 100), so damage is rare.
On your move day, a crew of three movers comes with a 24 ft truck. The truck is checked every month, including the dollies and straps used to move heavy items. They bring floor runners (protective mats laid over your floors), plus blankets and padded truck lining to protect the safe, and the crew lead walks the route with you before anything moves, so you agree on the path first. Before they arrive, you get a live tracking link with their name, photo, review rating, and a live map, and you can share it with anyone. Moving a single safe means you still book the 2-hour minimum: $398 to $458 plus a trip fee starting at $99, about $497 to $557 before any extra time. The trip fee is a fixed fee based on mileage, and it covers the drive from our facility to you and back to our office. Our Dallas-based crews serve all of Fort Worth, from Fairmount to Tanglewood.

Cesar Camacho and his crew were fantastic. We had a lot to move and they took great care of everything. All of the contents of my house had to go into temporary storage and be brought back. Everything was handled carefully. They are very kind and even took extra time with my recliner, which is tricky to put back together. Thank you!

Beyond the Safe: More Fort Worth Moving Services

Fort Worth Piano Movers
We move upright pianos under 600 lbs, up or down stairs if they fit your stairwell safely. Some of our crews can move baby grands under that weight too, but only first floor to first floor. We don't move full grand pianos, no matter the weight.

Fort Worth Residential movers
We move houses and townhomes across Fort Worth with three movers and a 24 ft truck (about 40% faster than a crew of two). Floors are protected, furniture is wrapped, then placed where you want it at the new home. Bigger homes mean more hours.

Fort Worth Apartment movers
We are the only Texas moving company that sends a COI automatically with every booking, personalized to the building and naming the property manager as an additional insured, and then you forward it. Reserve the freight elevator early.

Fort Worth Labor Only Movers
We send laborers for customers who have their own mode of transportation or have rented a truck. The crew wraps, loads, and unloads your items. This service is billed hourly and can be booked for moving items in and out of a self-storage unit. Our responsibility ends once the truck is loaded.

Fort Worth Packing Services
We pack the full house or room by room, with the same hourly rate. Our movers are trained for packing, and the materials are optional, sold separately, and taxed. We also take the empty boxes in our packing services.

Fort Worth Same Day Movers
Crews are available from 7 am and the slots are filled throughout the day. Rates are the same as a move booked weeks ahead. Book same-day moves by phone only at (817) 618-3095.

Before We Move Your Safe: Straight Answers for Fort Worth
The 2-hour minimum is $398 (Tue/Wed), $418 (Mon/Thu) or $458 (Fri to Sun), plus a trip fee starting at $99. That is about $497 to $557 before any extra time. A Fort Worth safe move with our company is billed by the hour, not by the pound. Tuesday and Wednesday are $199 an hour. Monday and Thursday are $209 an hour. Friday through Sunday are $229 an hour. There’s a 2-hour minimum, and after that, time is prorated every 15 minutes. A single safe is a normal booking, with no special hourly rate for one item. Tell us if other furniture needs moving, so the time covers them all. Weight, stairs, the route and the floor also add time. On top of the hours, you pay the trip fee, a fixed fee based on mileage from our office, starting at $99. It covers the drive from our facility to you and back to our office. There’s no tax on moving services. Tax applies only to supplies bought from us. You can book online or by phone. Same-day moves are always booked by phone. A $25 deposit holds the date and comes off the bill. Surprises are for birthdays. Not move days. You see the hourly rate and the trip fee in your quote before you book, and you can estimate your move with our cost calculator.
We move safes under 600 lbs (per item) on every service we offer. Anything over that weight (including tall safes) stays where it is. Most home and fireproof safes are under 600 lbs; vault-style safes are usually over it. You’ll find the weight on the manufacturer’s label or spec sheet, so give us the empty weight. The 600 lbs limit is firm. For a safe under it, the final call on the route and stairs will be made by the crew lead on site, but tell us about the weight of items when you book. All safes should also be completely empty (with no firearms or ammunition).
Height alone is not a refusal. Call us at (817) 618-3095 if your safe is taller than waist height. It still has to be under 600 lbs and completely empty. Remove firearms and ammunition. The crew lead makes the final call on site after walking the route with you. Tell us the weight, height, and the floor at each of the addresses, plus the narrowest doorway and any stairs on the way out.
Yes, completely. An empty safe is lighter and safer to move. We can't transport items inside safes, like firearms or ammunition. Jewelry, cash, important documents, and prescriptions travel with you, not on the truck. That is usually what is inside a safe, so plan to carry those yourself. Tell us the empty weight when you book.
We will need the weight, the height, where the safe sits (garage, closet or upstairs), whether it’s bolted down, the floor at each Fort Worth address, plus steps or elevator details, the narrowest doorway, and our 24 ft truck’s parking space. Most DFW homes have no basement because of the clay soil, so safes are usually in a garage, closet or upstairs room, and that sets the route, the stairs and the carry distance. In master-planned communities in north Fort Worth, the HOA often sets truck hours and a gate code, so send those too.
We consider your home sacred, so before we move anything, we lay down floor runners (protective mats laid over your floors). Also, the safe will be wrapped in blankets and stretch wrap. The truck also has padded lining for extra safety. We include a full toolbox, straps and dollies on every move, and our monthly 15-point inspection checks the toolbox, dollies, straps and blankets. Before any of this, the crew lead walks the route with you, and you’ll agree on the path. Older Fort Worth neighborhoods such as Fairmount have pier-and-beam homes (raised floors on supports), so tell us before move day.
Just reply to any email, text or call from us. All claims are answered in 24 hours and resolved in about a week on average. A customer service rep handles the claim from start to finish. Also, since Texas requires claims in writing, you’ll fill out an online form. There’s no deadline to report damage. Every claim is handled case by case, and we start with what is fair. Texas law sets a minimum of $0.60 per pound per item. That is the legal floor, not our standard: a 400 lb safe would be $240 at the floor, but we look at the actual damage and repair what we caused, not the formula. We don’t reduce payouts for an item’s age (no depreciated valuations). We don’t sell padded valuation coverage as an upsell. Some movers raise the hourly rate or require you to buy special insurance to keep your belongings protected. We don’t charge for it: our protection is the standard every crew is held to (training, a monthly 15-point truck inspection, blankets, floor runners, dollies and straps), so damage doesn’t happen to begin with. Fewer than 2 in 100 of our moves result in a claim, a request for repair or payment after damage (the industry standard is 15 to 20 in 100), so there’s no need to pay for extra coverage. Free mediation is also available through TxDMV at 1-888-368-4689, a free process where TxDMV helps resolve a dispute between a customer and a mover.
Yes. To move a safe in Fort Worth, TX, out of a garage or up to a second floor, it needs to be under 600 lbs and completely empty. Most DFW homes have no basement, so safes usually sit upstairs, in a garage or in a closet. Garage safe moving in Fort Worth often means a long carry to the truck, so tell us where the safe is, the floor at each address and any stairs when you book. The crew lead walks the route with you and decides on site.
Check the manufacturer’s label or spec sheet first, and look for the empty weight. If it is under 600 lbs, we can move it. If it is over 600 lbs, it stays where it is, and we can still move everything else in your home.
Yes. Book the freight elevator (the building’s service elevator for large items), tell us the time and the building’s move window, and we schedule the crew to match. Many buildings ask for a COI, a certificate of insurance that proves the mover is insured. Yours arrives automatically in your booking confirmation email, personalized to the building with the property manager named, and you forward it to the building. Your safe still needs to be under 600 lbs and completely empty.
Yes. Many older homes in Fairmount and nearby Fort Worth neighborhoods have pier-and-beam floors (raised floors on supports). Tell us before move day, along with the safe’s weight and where it sits. Floor runners go down before anything moves, and the crew lead walks the route with you, so you agree on the path first.
Yes. Office and business safes follow the same rules as any safe: under 600 lbs and completely empty. In Downtown offices and business parks, book the freight elevator and tell us the building’s move window, and we schedule the crew to match. For a full office move, see our Fort Worth commercial movers.
Yes. We are the experts. Every crew leader is Perfect Move Certified, our training program: written exams and hands-on practice with real furniture and specialty equipment, such as a piano and a fridge, plus customer service training. The weight, balance and tight turns of a safe are not new to your crew.
Yes. Our gun safe movers in Fort Worth are on the crew cards on this page, with each crew leader’s name, photo, review rating, on-time percentage, moves and years of experience. Pick the crew you want and book online or by phone. You can read what customers say about our crews on our reviews page.
Yes. Our Dallas-based crews move safes in Arlington, Keller, Southlake, Benbrook and the rest of DFW, including heavy safe moving across Tarrant County. The trip fee is a fixed fee based on mileage from our office, starting at $99, so a longer drive means a higher fee.
Many garage safes are anchored into the concrete slab. Tell us when you book if yours is bolted down, along with its weight and where it sits, and the crew lead decides on site after walking the route with you.

One Safe, One Route: Tell Us Before You Book
Where We Move Safes in Fort Worth
Access points matter when you’re moving a safe, and we understand that. In Fairmount (76104, with Near Southside), bungalows and foursquares are on narrow streets with short driveways, so street parking is often the only place our truck can park. Send us which side of the street is open, and how far the dolly (a wheeled cart used to roll heavy items) has to roll. Many older Fairmount homes have pier-and-beam floors (raised floors on supports), so tell us before move day.
In Downtown buildings or high-rises (76102), we’ll need the freight elevator and the building's move window. The freight elevator is the building’s service elevator for large items: you book it and tell us the time, and we schedule the crew to match. Office and business safes are common in Downtown buildings, and we move those too.
A COI (a certificate of insurance, proof the mover is insured) will automatically be generated at booking, customized to the building with the property manager named. We send that to you in your booking confirmation email, and you forward it to the building.
In master-planned communities in north Fort Worth, homes often have HOA truck hours and a gate code. Send both before the day. After booking, you know your crew leader’s name and photo, so you can put the name on the community guest list, and you can share the tracking link with the guard.
Larger homes in Tanglewood, Overton Park, Arlington Heights and the Cultural District, and far-west Fort Worth (76107, 76109 and 76132) often have garage safes and a long carry from the garage to the truck. Most DFW homes have no basement because of the clay soil, so safes are usually in a garage, closet or upstairs room. Mention that when you book your move. Garage safes are often bolted into the concrete slab, so tell us if yours is anchored.
What does it cost to move a safe in Fort Worth?
Safe moves are billed hourly, not by the pound: $199/hour for Tuesday and Wednesday, $209/hour for Monday and Thursday, and $229/hour Friday through Sunday. The rates are the same across DFW, for three movers and a 24 ft truck. There’s a 2-hour minimum (and after that, the time is prorated every 15 minutes).
The 2-hour minimum is $398 (Tue/Wed), $418 (Mon/Thu) or $458 (Fri to Sun), plus a trip fee starting at $99. That is about $497 to $557 before any extra time.
For the drive from our facility to you and back to our office, you’ll pay a trip fee, a fixed fee based on mileage, starting at $99. Fort Worth is a long drive from our Dallas facility, so your trip fee is likely above the starting amount. Check yours with our cost calculator.
To keep the hours down, book a Tuesday or Wednesday (up to $30 an hour less than Friday through Sunday), clear the route, empty the safe, and send the weight, height and floor when you book.
A $25 deposit holds the date and comes off the final bill. There is no tax on moving services. Tax applies only to supplies bought from us. Toll roads and fuel are included, with no fuel surcharge.
Your Home Is Sacred: What Your Move Day Looks Like
A day before your move, the crew leader calls or texts you. When your crew leaves our facility, you’ll get a tracking link with the crew leader's name, photo, review rating, and a live map (no app needed). You can share it with anyone, including a gate guard, and every truck has GPS monitoring.
The clock starts when your crew leader checks you in, and the crew lead will walk the route with you before moving anything. Floor runners (protective mats) will go down, and the safe is wrapped in blankets and stretch wrap and loaded with dollies and straps. Before leaving, the crew checks that nothing is left.
At the new address, you show the crew where the safe goes. Then you sign the crew out, and the clock stops.
How to Pick a Day
Tuesday and Wednesday are $199 an hour, Monday and Thursday are $209, and Friday through Sunday are $229. Moving midweek saves you up to $30 an hour.
Summer and the first and last weekends of the month fill first, because of school calendars, closings and lease expirations, so book 4 to 8 weeks ahead. In the Texas summer heat, a morning start helps, especially for a garage safe.
You can reschedule for free. Use the "Modify Reservation" button in your "Reservation Summary" email.
Why Fort Worth Trusts Us With Their Safes
Before the crew gets to your door, you get to choose them based on complete information available on the website: the crew leader’s name, photo, rating, moves, years of experience and on-time percentage. For a safe, look at the moves and experience first. The on-time percentage is measured by GPS on the truck, not self-reported, and crews with strong scores get booked more, so they have a reason to arrive on time.
Every crew leader is Perfect Move Certified, our training program, and background-checked. Our crews are trained on heavy objects: crew leaders pass written exams and practice hands-on with real furniture and specialty equipment, such as a piano and a fridge, so they have handled the weight, balance and tight turns of a safe before they get to your door. They also train in customer service and soft skills, such as making you comfortable with new people in your home and handling difficult moves with care.
All of our trucks go through a 15-point inspection every month. It makes sure the truck has the tools and supplies needed to move a safe (the toolbox, dollies, straps and blankets), plus truck safety (brakes, lights, fire extinguisher, insurance and registration), so your crew arrives with the right equipment and nothing is missing on move day.
Fewer than 2 in 100 of our moves result in a claim, a request for repair or payment after damage (the industry standard is 15 to 20 in 100). Claims are handled case by case, starting with what is fair, and we don’t sell padded valuation coverage. Other movers charge more hourly or require special insurance to protect your items; we hold every crew to a standard, so damage doesn’t happen to begin with.
You can call our support anytime; they’re available 24/7, with a goal of answering within 20 seconds. Seniors, active-duty military, and veterans can ask about a discount.
We also don't keep movers you don’t like, and the on-time percentage is part of that.
